Ovis Pharmaceuticals: Alberta’s Newest Cannabis Wellness Brand
Calgary, Alberta — On August 5, 2022, Olds Softgels delivered its first shipment to Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) of three softgel SKUs under their new in-house wellness brand, Ovis Pharmaceuticals.
Led by Calgary-based health innovator Dr. Traj Nibber, Ovis represents the future of medicinal cannabis treatment with a patient-first model of care backed by over 30 years of natural product innovation and pharmaceutical expertise. Their first three softgel products, Balanced THC:CBD 10:10s, THC 10s, and CBD 50s, are now available through licensed retailers across the province.
“Ovis was created for Canadians looking to add cannabinoids to their daily wellness or health routine from producers they can trust in reliable and precise doses,” says president Dr. Traj Nibber. “As clinical evidence grows on the effectiveness of cannabinoids in treating acute and chronic conditions, Ovis will work closely with practitioners and researchers to develop safe, innovative, and effective product formulations.”
Ovis products are manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which guarantees pharmaceutical-grade standards and procedures that exceed Health Canada requirements. Whether purchased at licensed retail stores or via a prescription, users can expect consistent and effective products that have undergone rigorous testing for factors including shelf-stability and bioavailability.
Subsequent product releases will include lesser-known minor cannabinoids, including CBG, CBN, and Delta 8 – a naturally occurring compound that provides the benefits of THC with reduced psychoactive properties.
